Here are other Canon cameras I have had thru the years. The first one was a Powershot S10 with 2.1 Megapixel. Huge and heavy, with a tiny viewfinder. The second was an Elph S230 with 3.2 megapixel. Nice and compact, I really liked that camera. Easy to carry anywhere. Now I have the Canon G9, powerfull little baby. I love my G9! Its about as heavy as the S10 I had, but its packed with a 12.1 megapixel, I can give my pixs effects, it has a great big viewfinder, and I can record pretty descent videos. Actually, my first Canon was a Rebel, film!! How times have changed.
